For Job Seekers
For Job Seekers
Do you like working outdoors, working in a small team, living out of town and working with animals?
A job on a cattle station could be for you!
Why should you start your career on a cattle station with the Aboriginal Pastoral Academy?
You will receive training to become work-ready and receive ongoing support to help keep you working in the industry for up to two years. The pre-employment training will include practical skills such as working safely, stock handling and welfare, fencing, maintaining water points and more.
It will also help you build your confidence, communication and teamwork skills, and help you understand what working and living on a cattle station is really like.
After completing your training, the Academy will help match you to a suitable, safe and supportive workplace. You will receive a ‘Ringers Kit’ to make sure you have all the right clothes, safety gear and other essential work equipment. Once employed, you will continue to receive mentoring and support for up to two years.
If you have a strong desire and willingness to work on a cattle station, this is your opportunity to develop the right skills and experience.
To start your career with the Academy, you need to apply to one of the partnering pre-employment training programs.
